The Socket CRS 9P offers Bluetooth wireless bar code scanning to meet a wide range of application requirements and make mobile scanning convenient. This is the first wireless product of its kind that makes scanning as simple as pointing a finger! The CRS is designed to fit on the index finger and is tethered to a Bluetooth unit that is strapped on the wrist. The Bluetooth unit transmits data wirelessly to a Bluetooth enabled mobile computer. Both the ring scanner and the Bluetooth unit are made of an exclusive LiquidMetal® construction for extreme durability that can be used in the most demanding environments. LiquidMetal is more than twice as strong as Titanium.

The CRS 9P is supported by Socket’s SocketScan™ keyboard emulation software and software developer’s kit (SDK).

Bluetooth Features

• Class 1 radio with Bluetooth wireless technology has a maximum range of 300 ft (100 m) if connected to another Class 1 Bluetooth device.
• Uses Bluetooth Serial Port profile
• Connection indicator light
• When connected to the Class 2 Bluetooth radio found in many host devices, CRS range should be approximately 50 percent greater when used in an indoor environment and 100 percent greater when used outdoors. Bluetooth range can be affected by many variables and may be significantly greater or shorter than specified.
