Then, using the Java-based application on his iDEN phone, he accesses the wireless network to identify a local depot with the part in stock. Hitting dial, he calls the parts manager at that depot and arranges a quick courier delivery. Voice, data, and bar code data capture come together seamlessly to get the job done.

Consumer Applications

The PSM20i can also be the ultimate consumer shopping convenience tool. Whether it is at home in the kitchen, in the retail store, or directly from a catalog, bar codes on products or in catalogs can be quickly scanned, shopping lists created and orders automatically placed.
