PPT 2700 Series, a member of the newest family of Pocket PC-based
terminals from Symbol Technologies, combines the strengths of the Pocket
PC platform with productivity-enhancing features that include bar code
scanning and real-time wireless communication options. Designed with
today's mobile worker in mind, the rugged PPT 2700 Series is a
productivity tool for business professionals, enabling the Power of Pocket

Pocket PC platform offers a simple, fast user interface, extensive
Internet browsing capabilities, and powerful overall performance, and the
PPT 2700 Series transforms business activities, extending this familiar
Windows-based platform from the traditional desktop setting to virtually
anywhere. Symbol's rigorous quality requirements impart drop, sealing and
temperature specifications that are unmatched by other Pocket PC devices.
The rugged durability achieved allows the PPT 2700 to withstand the wear

With its fully integrated bar code scanning, Wireless Local Area
Network (WLAN) or Wireless Wide Area Network (WWAN) communication and
Pocket PC functionality, the PPT 2700 Series provides a complete,
easy-to-use data management solution in a single device. Conveniently
placed scan triggers and the ergonomic design of the Symbol PPT 2700 enable
simple one-handed data capture operation, and a high resolution 1/4 VGA
display with responsive touch-screen technology further enhance the
product's ease of use.
The PPT 2700 Series utilizes the Intel® StrongARM SA 1110
processor, running at 206 MHz and comes with the processing power and
memory capacity to meet any data or application need. It is fully
compatible with 32-bit application development tools from Microsoft and
third parties, and provides the standard PIM software and synchronization
capabilities of the Pocket PC platform. An application-programming
interface (API) from Symbol makes it simple to integrate bar code data
capture and wireless communication into new or existing applications.
