PDA Barcode Scanner IS5024-608
The CompactFlash Scan Card (CFSC) 5E / aka CF Scanner is a Series 5 Entry Level scanner that adds affordable bar code scanning to
your Pocket PC device. Based on miniature Linear CMOS Imaging technology
from Symbol Technologies, the CFSC 5E scans all popular linear bar code
symbologies and uses approximately 57mA of power during scanning to
maximize battery life. SocketScan keyboard emulation software sends
decoded data to any Windows application as virtual keystrokes.
- Integrated Type II CF card and scanner plugs into the Type II
Compact Flash slot of Windows Powered Pocket PCs. Combine with
CF-to-PC card adapter (Part #4001-515, sold separately) to use in
pen tablets or laptops
- Automatically decodes the most popular bar code symbologies
including UPC/EAN, Code 39, Code 128, Interleaved 2 of 5, MSI/Plessey,
and Codabar. Other symbologies can be enabled by user with
SocketScan Symbology selector
- LED light source poses no safety or health hazards
- Socket's SocketScan software for Windows converts scanned bar
code characters into virtual keystrokes so that any Windows
application treats the characters as though they were typed on a
keyboard
- SocketScan enables the creation of prefixes and suffixes, such
as Tab or Carriage Return, to further eliminate keystrokes in the
data collection process
- SocketScan SDK for both Windows CE is available for developers
who wish to control the scanner and resulting data from within their
application
- This Battery Friendly solution draws only a few milliamps of
current in standby mode, extending the battery life of your
hand-held mobile device
- No extra batteries or special power adapter required. The CFSC
5E gets power from the host hand-held mobile device
- Works with Windows based development tools so you can easily
create custom applications

| The new Series 5
products feature a sleeker, more rugged housing with a
Type II CF Card, replacing the original Type I In-Hand
Scan Card, a Socket mainstay since 1999. The Entry Level
CFSC 5E model uses the CMOS linear imaging engine from
Socket’s popular SD Scan Card, and scans most popular
linear (1D) bar code symbologies. The 5M and 5P models
are based on new Class 1 and Class 2 laser engines
featuring Fuzzy Logic for reading damaged,
poorly printed or hard to read bar code labels and
extended bar code symbologies support, such as RSS-14
and RSS-Composite. The new CFSC Series 5 products
deliver a new level of convenience, performance and
durability to mobile data collection.
New CFSC
Series 5 Features Include:
-
The new Series 5E, 5M and 5P bar code scanners are
