A Thermal Transfer (TT) printer uses special label stock and a ribbon to transfer the image to the label. They are generally used in permanent identification applications and/or under severe environmental conditions. Thermal transfer printers may also be used in direct thermal applications.

A Direct Thermal (DT) printer uses thermal sensitive label stock and are generally used in identification applications under standard environmental conditions.

Code Ranger Blue Tooth Portable Printers

Cognitive Solutions is proud to introduce its most recent wireless addition to the Code Ranger portable printer family. The Code Ranger Bluetooth allows the mobile worker to print labels on demand at the point-of-label application, eliminating the need for costly, long-range wireless communications and cables. The Bluetooth technology also consumes less battery life than 802.11b, allowing for increased power efficiency and greater productivity.
